LOUISE CUNNINGHAM

Louise Cunningham is a prolific illustrator with over 20 years experience as a freelance artist. Prestigious clients include Disney, Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s, T-fal, and The National Trust.

Louise loves to try out unusual combinations of colour and pattern - sneaking objects from her own life into her illustrations. Initially studying visual communication, Louise specialised in Illustration at Edinburgh College of Art.

Her commercial career started at a young age - Louise always enjoyed drawing and used to sell her drawings to other children at primary school for 50pence each which made her realise she could money from art.

Louise describes her own work as ‘Vintage inspired, limited colour, and hopefully charming!’ Her favourite media are digital painting, ink line-work, and sometimes gouache. Preferred subjects including People, Animals, Buildings, and Plants.

“Creating a picture book for children and having my illustrated alphabet published.”
